The Scope: Best Of Food 2013

The Cover: Chinched BistroGetting to meet the best and brightest of the food industry in St. John’s has been a really fun experience for me the past few years shooting for the Scope’s Best Of Food issue.

I am absolutely floored at just how awesome the people who keep the city fed really are. From an outsiders perspective It seems like the food industry could be pretty thankless. The passion these people have for what they do, in the face of that really impresses me. I really enjoy highlighting the people behind the food.

This year I was able to get the cover again. This time with chef Shaun Hussey from Chinched Bistro, as well as chef Mark McCrowe and the rest of the gang over at the club, plus a really neat high end takeout called Savvy in CBS and we took an afternoon to make some pictures over at Quidi Vidi Brewery.

Below are some of my favourites from the 2013 Best of Food Sessions. As always your hungry eyes will get to munch down on some alternates and out takes. If you’ve not had your fill after that, run on out to your local shop, grab the print edition and read up on some of the best food that St. John’s has to offer… Bon Appetit!
